Project: Facilities for Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Owner: City of Brampton Prime Consultant: Petroff Partnership Architects Description: Provision of a new 46,000 sq.ft. 2 storey courthouse facility for the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Act (POA). The facility boasts 8 courtrooms, administration offices, prosecutors' offices, police department, judicial quarters, sally port, containment cells, and related areas. The building is a poured reinforced concrete structure with architectural precast, stone and masonry elements complemented with specialized curtain wall glazing components on the exterior envelop. Additional features of this 'state of the art' facility also include specialized millwork, acoustics, security and audio/visual enhancements. The building's mechanical & electrical systems are also designed to achieve energy efficiency and to support acoustic requirements.
