Before construction of the new 12,000sf  Fire Station at 2755 Old Leslie Street could begin, several factors had to be overcomed.  Firstly the existing Sign Shop Building had to be demolished which included asbestos abatement and contaminated soil remediation in order to make way for this new state of the art facility. 

This New Fire Station is home to Toronto Fire Services, and includes state of the art communication cabling systems, CCTV and security systems, vehicle exhaust systems, apparatus bays, dormitory training facilities, fire prevention offices, as well as kitchen and fitness facilities.
